Hidden Gems in Las Vegas
The fine folks at one of the most popular about-Vegas Web sites recently posted a list of reader-contributed “hidden gems” in Sin City. A few of the Pulse of Vegas-centric highlights:
“I have a solid bargain: Get a seat at the upper balcony at Flamingo’s Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville restaurant, order the ‘Volcano Nachos’ (for under $10!) and check out the view of the Strip below! At this price, order a specialty drink (or two, or three…) off the menu, and let the good times roll! It’s people and Strip-watching at its finest!”
“Going up to the top of Paris’ Eiffel Tower at dusk and catching the Bellagio fountain show is awesome.” (What are these “fountain” things we keep hearing about?)
“The outside deck at the Pink Bean Coffee Shop at the Flamingo.” (Slogan: “Just because we have a tiny logo doesn’t mean we don’t have giant values!”)
“Jubilee’s backstage tour at Bally’s.”
“Our favorite hidden gem is the pizza restaurant in the Imperial Palace. It is a small place, not fancy or expensive, good food and generally has seating available. A good place to get away from the action on the Strip for awhile.” (Free virtual tours daily here.)
When there’s such good word-of-mouth, why are we paying for advertising again?
