Free Vegas Attraction: Caesars Palace Freak-Out

All right, we’ll admit up front we’re using the term “attraction” pretty loosely here, but we think this qualifies as a fun Vegas diversion.

There you are, hanging out, playing slots in the casino at Caesars Palace, and you notice an impressive bust. No, not that kind of bust! Please stay focused. The “statue” kind of bust. Or is it a “statue”? (Cue ominous music.)

Not all that freaked out yet? Oh, you will be. (Pause for effect.) You will be.

Here’s the thing. It’s not an ordinary “statue.” Sin City doesn’t do ordinary. And if it were an ordinary “statue,” we wouldn’t keep putting it in “quotation marks,” trust us.

So, what is it, then? We have no idea. But it appears to be some kind of Disney-inspired, floating head freak-out-facilitation thingy (not the official name, probably).

You walk back and forth in front of this cleverly-designed apparition, and it watches your every move. Think we’re kidding? Check out this glaringly amateurish video we captured the other day. Warning: The feint of heart may not want to partake in this particular Las Vegas freak-out.

Told you it was cool. And freaky. And it’s free, 24/7 at Caesars Palace.

You can find the freak-out bust across from the entrance to The Colosseum. They have some other cool stuff at Caesars Palace, too, with more on the way. Find out more. If you’re looking for more things to do in Las Vegas, we can make that happen.
