The Range Steakhouse at Harrah’s Las Vegas has been given the coveted 2011 Award of Excellence by one of the world’s most respected wine publications, Wine Spectator.
The restaurant boasts a selection of 145 different wines from around the world, selected by Sommelier Kenneth Shey. The restaurant houses nearly 7,000 bottles of wine. For the record, this blog can correctly pronounce the names of about 11. But let’s try to stay focused.
Wine Spectator’s Restaurant Wine List Awards are given based on selection, its pairing with restaurant cuisine and the general appeal to wine lovers. Wine lists are judged on a variety of criteria including vintages and appellations for all selections, complete producer names and the presentation and appearance of the list. Yes, we got all that from the news release. We are very busy.
