Ruth’s Chris Steak House Will Bring Signature Sizzle to Harrah’s Las Vegas
Ruth’s Chris Steak House, one of the most-recognized steak houses in the world, will open at Harrah’s Las Vegas in early 2013.
The new restaurant will open in the space occupied by The Range restaurant, which will close Nov. 11, 2012.

This is the first Ruth’s Chris Steak House on The Strip, but the restaurant has a history with Harrah’s hotels, with existing locations at Harrah’s New Orleans and Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina.
So, what’s up with the “Ruth’s Chris Steak House” name, we asked ourselves, already having looked up the answer? In 1965, a woman by the name of Ruth Fertel purchased a steak house in New Orleans called “Chris Steak House.” After the purchase, it was Ruth’s, but she folded in the original name, too. Thus, Ruth’s Chris Steak House was born. We’ve always wondered about that.

The Harrah’s Las Vegas location of Ruth’s Chris Steak House will have a menu including USDA Prime steaks, appetizers and desserts, complemented by an award-winning wine list and handcrafted cocktails. And did we mention there will also be cocktails?
Ruth’s Chris Steak House will be located on the second floor of Harrah’s, a location that also happens to provide a stunning view of The Strip. Kind of like dessert for your eyes.
