Miss Mexico Snags Miss Universe Crown
A new Miss Universe was crowned last night here in Las Vegas. The lucky winner: Miss Mexico, Jimena Navarrete of Guadalajara.
Guadalajara, this blog has confirmed, is part of the universe, so everything’s cool on that front.

During the show, Navarrete was asked how she felt about unsupervised Internet use, and the soon-to-be Miss Universe replied (through a translator), “I do believe that [the] Internet is an indispensable, necessary tool for the present time.”
Thank you, Miss Universe! Finally, the validation the Interwebs so richly deserve. (For the present time, anyway.)
